ANNUAL & CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS
Hilary Alger Consulting (HAC) will work hand in hand with staff to develop and implement a comprehensive annual giving program that might include written solicitations, online campaigns, major gift development, special events, foundation and corporate requests, and corporate sponsorships, if appropriate. Donor cultivation and stewardship activities, and the engagement of trustees and other volunteers, are integral components of all development plans.
HAC also will plan and help implement special campaigns for programs and capital campaigns for new facilities. HAC will work with the board and staff to assess the capability of the organization to undertake a successful campaign; will develop and draft a case statement; help form a campaign committee; review prospects and discuss approaches to the prospects; help develop campaign materials; provide advice and support throughout the campaign fundraising process; and deliver a final campaign report.
FOUNDATION & CORPORATE GIVING/CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS
Foundation and corporate funders are vital to a diversified nonprofit revenue base. HAC knows well the foundation and corporate communities in the greater Philadelphia area and can help nonprofits locate new potential funders. HAC also has experience with corporate sponsorships and can help develop a case for sponsorship, write sponsorships requests, and guide the nonprofit through the sponsorship process.
MAJOR GIFTS
No nonprofit can flourish over the long-term without a stable of major donors that support the work of the organization year in and year out. HAC will work closely with board and staff to identify new major donors prospects, develop strategies for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding those prospects, and support the board and staff as they implement those strategies.
COACHING
Executive directors and directors of development may find that they need an experienced third-party to help work through priorities, think through strategies, and solve operational or staffing issues. HAC is on hand to provide a listening ear and practical, creative advice on a range of nonprofit management topics.
INTERIM STAFFING
HAC is available to step in as a temporary development staff member when a key development employee goes on leave or when an organization is seeking to fill a development position and does not wish to lose momentum in its fundraising program during the search process.
